The introduction of air bubbles into rivers, lakes, lagoons, sewage ponds or aquacultures requires special product properties due to the size of the water bodies and individual requirements. The JetFlex® DS32 functionality, optimized for the respective application, combines all of these. It also offers the operator significant savings in terms of installation and operating costs.

The JetFlex® DS32 can be used to introduce oxygen into biological sewage treatment plants and wastewater lagoons, in lenitic and affluent waterbodies and in fish farming. It can also be used as an effective barrier for oil, sediment, algae or jellyfish and to reduce underwater sound or prevent ice formation in harbors or reservoirs.
The diffuser offers reduced installation costs compared to alternative systems because it requires no anchoring to the ground, no complex piping and no effort for leveling. During operation, maximum efficiency is achieved through installation on the floor. The system is extremely robust and can be installed over a large area.

As a barrier for particles, sound and liquids, the air bubbles form a compressible wall that absorbs energy and divides the water up to the surface by means of an upward flow. At the same time, the barrier remains passable for aquatic life and passable for ships and boats. The formation of ice on the water for example in front of watergates, is prevented by two mechanisms. Firstly, the water surface is continuously mixed and secondly, the rising air bubbles create a current that brings warmer water from deeper layers to the surface.
