Module

CLEARTEC® biocarriers (Biotextil and BioCurlz) are installed within stainless steel modules that are fully submerged in the aerobic chamber of biology. The CLEARTEC® module must be positioned above the aeration system. This means that the CLEARTEC® module can be installed on either on existing aeration grids or offered with integrated aeration system. The module dimensions depend on the required quantity of CLEARTEC® media and the tank geometry. The modular design of CLEARTEC® ensures easy installation and maintenance. Furthermore, the fixed installation of the biocarrier prevents it from being flushed out of the aeration tank, thereby protecting ecosystem and aquatic life.

CLEARTEC® with Integrated Aeration System

The integrated aeration systems of the CLEARTEC® module provides optimum coordination between the aeration system and CLEARTEC® technology, making operation even easier and more user friendly. Depending on installation and fastening method (which is project specific), individual modules can be removed during operation for maintenance of CLEARTEC® and the aeration system, should this be required. In addition to the flexibility, in the case of the integrated aeration system, only the module needs to be attached to floor of the basin and/or to the wall. This implies that there will is no need for the time-consuming installation of separate aeration grids.

CLEARTEC® Installation on Existing Aeration Grid

CLEARTEC® modules can be also installed above existing aeration grids, which is often a feasible option for projects requiring limited number of modules. In such cases, a project-specific assessment is still essential to ensure optimal results. This assessment involves checking aeration capacity against key factors such as, providing sufficient oxygen for both suspended solids and sessile biomass, achieving acceptable mixing, and maintaining uniform oxygen concentrations within the reactor(s).
